Fabio Amarelle operates the Weathervane mobile application. This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our App.

1. Information We Collect and How We Use It

To provide core weather forecasting functionality, Weathervane requests access to your device's Location Data (Approximate and/or Precise Location).

• Why we need it: Your location data is strictly used to determine your current geographic coordinates so the App can fetch accurate, localized weather conditions.
• How it is processed: The location data is processed ephemerally. It is sent directly to our third-party weather provider to retrieve the forecast and is never saved.

2. Data Storage and Retention

I do not store your data. Weathervane does not save, log, or retain your location data, IP address, or any other personal information on our servers or locally on your device beyond the immediate weather request.

3. Third-Party Services

The App uses the OpenWeather API as a third-party service to provide weather data. Your location coordinates are sent securely to OpenWeather solely for the purpose of retrieving the forecast. OpenWeather's handling of data is governed by their own privacy policy, which you can review at https://openweather.co.uk/privacy-policy.

4. Data Sharing

I do not sell, trade, or otherwise share your personal information with any third parties, except for the necessary secure transmission of location coordinates to OpenWeather to make the App function.

5. Security

I value your trust in providing me your information. All location data transmitted from the App to the OpenWeather API is encrypted in transit using modern cryptography (HTTPS).

6. Changes to This Privacy Policy

I may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. I will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
